Purpose: Native Hawaiian Library Services Grants help Native Hawaiian-serving organizations sustain and improve library services based on community information needs and priorities. Projects may include educational programming, oral history collection and documentation, digital media and technology improvements, institutional planning, staff training, digitization, preservation, furnishing of library spaces for staff and public, and other library and archival services, as specified.
Award: $50,000-$150,000 for projects lasting one to two years. No cost share required.
Eligibility: Nonprofit organizations that primarily serve and represent Native Hawaiians and provide library services to their communities. Applicants must provide documentation showing that they meet the program's eligibility requirements.
